Creta Maris Resort is looking for a:
Financial Analyst
This position is to be employed on the property and responsible for a single property. This is not a home-based, remote, or headquarter-based position. The reporting line is to the Financial Controller of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for supporting and liaising with the hotel Financial Controller in meeting the organisation’s strategic goals
• Monitors on a daily and monthly basis all hotel's expenses and purchases and ensures that internal procedures are applied according to hotel's standards.
• Monitors and ensures that disciplinary procedures and documentations are completed according to the hotel's standards
• Monitors on a daily and monthly basis all hotel's expenses and purchases and ensures that charges are in compliance with agreements and variations are explained
• Monitors daily expenses and purchases classification regarding their type and outlet and ensures their correct allocation based on hotel’s budget
• Participates in preparation and reviewing of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and operating results
• Participates in preparation of hotel's monthly P&L Report and ensures that all transactions regarding expenses are accurate and allocated in compliance with hotels budget
• Ensures that variations between actual and budgeted amounts are documented and explained accurately
Necessary qualifications:
• BA in Economics or Finance or Accounting or hotel management from a leading (inter) national hotel educational institute
• Min. 2 years of professional training gained up to property-based Cost Controller
• Speaks and writes Greek and English fluently and has excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Fully versed with Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and can create/structure tabular spreadsheets
Desired qualifications:
• USALI trained, ideally by its 11th version
• Hands-on experience in F&B and/ or purchases
• Ideally, working knowledge of back offices or accounting systems like Soft1, and Fairmas™
• Ideally, knowledge of Hotel Software or Property Management Systems like FIDELIO™, OPERA™, Protel™, etc.
