PAYROLL MANAGER:

A respected and leading hotel at East Crete, is actively seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our diverse team and the accuracy of all personnel-related financial operations.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for:
-Payroll & Benefits Management: Overseeing the entire monthly payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely payment for all seasonal and permanent staff, adhering strictly to Greek labor and social security legislation (IKA/EFKA).
-Employee Relations & Compliance: Serving as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and disciplinary matters, and ensuring continuous compliance with all Hotel Group Policies and local HR regulations.
-HR Strategy & Budgeting: Assisting the General Manager with HR budgeting and forecasting, including projecting costs for labor, benefits, and training programs.
-HRIS & Reporting: Maintaining the integrity of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), managing leave, absence, and attendance records, and generating key HR metrics and reports.
-Compensation & Structures: Managing the Compensation and Benefits structure, including designing or updating organizational charts and roles to optimize departmental efficiency.
The ideal candidate for the Payroll Manager position should have:
-BSc/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field. An MSc or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) will be considered a significant advantage.
-Exceptional and up-to-date knowledge of Greek labor law (e.g., N. 4808/2021), social security legislation (IKA/EFKA), and payroll practices specific to the Greek context.
-Fluency in both Greek and English (written and verbal) is essential for managing local staff, communicating with international guests/management, and handling legal documentation.
-Proven organizational and leadership skills, coupled with the ability to manage a diverse, high-volume seasonal workforce effectively.
-Software Proficiency: Excellent proficiency in HRIS/Payroll software (experience with common Greek payroll platforms is a plus) and MS Office Suite.
-Highly detail-oriented, with a proactive, problem-solving personality and robust communication and interpersonal skills required for employee relations.
-A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an HR and Payroll role, with at least 2 years in a management position, ideally within the hospitality or tourism sector (e.g., hotels, resorts).
