SOMMELIER:

Creta Maris Resort, is synonymous with the experience of the authentic Crete through the comfort of an all-inclusive 5* resort with sustainability at the heart of its operation and a member of the award-winning Metaxa Hospitality Group, is searching for its F&B department for season 2025:

Sommelier

Job responsibilities:

• Presentation of the wine list to the guests and suggestion of wines depending to the preferences of the guests
• Food and wine pairing
• Inventory of the wine stock
• Control the right storage and temperature of the wines

Necessary qualifications:

• Certification as a sommelier (WSET 3 or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant position, preferably in a hotel
• Excellent knowledge of English language
• Excellent communication skills with a very strong customer-focused approach
• Selling and upselling skills with attention to the details

Desired qualifications:

• A second language will be considered a plus (German)
• Professional behavior and appearance
• Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries
• Organizational skills
